Thursday Best Bites - Sushi Kan, Ottawa

What:  AYCE (All You Can Eat) Sushi

WhereSushi Kan, 1280 Baseline Road, Ottawa, ON

Comments:  This is one of the first AYCE sushi places that came to Ottawa and the first one that I went to.  What I liked about it then (and even more now) is that there are so many options for the non-sushi eater.  They have recently added even more items.  We tried the Bulgogi-Korean beef which was very good and true to the Korean flavours.  The cooked grilled salmon roll was seasoned and delicious.  The seaweed salad was wonderful - flavours of sesame, wakame and touch of chili.

We also enjoyed some nigiri sushi - butter fish, snapper and salmon.  One of my favourites is the Kalbi veal spareribs - mouthwatering, tender and delicious.  New things I tried this visit:  Bulgogi beef, beef dumplings (amazing), and the Pad Thai-Veg Noodle (much better than the last one I had - which was a hot mess of ketchup!), and skewered chicken (marinated and grilled thighs)

A great spot for lunch and a great deal at $12.99
